A property on Gold Street will be undergoing a major renovation after it was approved by the city’s Zoning Board of Appeals Tuesday morning.
The property, at 180-182 Gold St., includes the renovation of the existing four-family structure and the addition of a third floor.
The plans by Brian Kaplan and Mark Little will change the legal occupancy of the structure to a six-family, erect a third story, and add roof decks.
The six units will be two-bedroom, two-bath condominium units.
In addition to the renovations, the board approved the parking component of the project at 183 Gold St., which includes spaces for up to eight vehicles.
Developers said they would like to begin construction, pending review by the Boston Redevelopment Authority, in a month and expect work to last seven to eight months.
