A Legacy of Caring Education
The Notre Dame Education Center was founded in 1992 by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. These dedicated women had previously operated Cardinal Cushing High School in South Boston, and when the high school’s doors closed, they made a heartfelt decision to remain in the neighborhood, committed to addressing the educational needs of the local community. It was from this dedication that NDEC emerged, evolving into a comprehensive adult education center.
More Than Education: Building a Supportive Community
What sets NDEC apart is its unwavering dedication to creating a diverse, nurturing community. Here, students aren’t just learners; they are individuals empowered to reach their full potential as scholars, workers, and responsible citizens. NDEC has become a safe space for individuals of all backgrounds and walks of life, fostering personal growth and educational empowerment.
