Project Spotlight: Transformative Renovation of a Historic South Boston Building

We embarked on a transformative home renovation project in South Boston, taking on a dilapidated 4-unit building on Gold Street with the vision of revitalizing and expanding it to meet modern real estate market demands. Abacus and our dedicated team, we stripped the structure down to its bare bones, reimagining the space by adding a new floor and extending the rear to create additional living areas.

The result? Six spacious 2-bedroom condominiums designed to suit today’s urban lifestyle. These units cater to the growing demand for modern, comfortable living spaces within Boston’s competitive real estate market.

This project was not without its challenges. The tight location on Gold Street presented unique obstacles, particularly with on-site construction setup and managing traffic flow for the surrounding neighbors. However, through careful planning and community engagement, we successfully navigated these hurdles, ensuring minimal disruption to local residents. We’re proud to have delivered this project on time and on budget, further solidifying our reputation for quality and reliability in Boston home renovations.
