Abacus Builders completed a custom roof deck build at 64 Baxter Street in South Boston, transforming previously unused roof space into a highly functional outdoor living environment.

The project features Trex Enhance® premium composite decking, black RDI metal handrails, and a custom-built pergola with a natural stain finish. A Dayliter® full-glass roof access hatch was integrated to provide seamless, daylight-filled access to the roof deck. Additional amenities include a water spigot and outdoor kitchen, allowing the space to function as a true extension of the home.

Designed by Context Architects and built by Abacus Builders, the deck was carefully detailed to balance durability, safety, and modern aesthetics—maximizing usable outdoor space in a dense urban setting.

The result is a refined rooftop retreat that highlights what’s possible when thoughtful design and precise execution come together.
